ABS is not made in the gym, along with proper diet. What you put in your mouth is more important than what you put in your workout. To lose weight , you will need to take control of your diet. Maintaining a healthy diet is very important. There is no point all kinds of heavy exercises if you have no control of your diet. The first step should be to remove all those high calorie food from your diet. High calorie food will provide you lots of unnecessary calories which will accumulate in your body in the form of fat. However, you do not need to go on a fad diet to avoid calories.  Most of the fad diets are unhealthy, dangerous or both  and can lead to deprivation and hunger.  Opting such diet will provide you a temporary solution for weight loss. Another important aspect of losing fat and getting 6 pack abs is getting enough sleep. If you are sleep deprived, then you will burn off muscles rather than burning fat. A sleep deprived person will have a lower metabolic rate which means that he won’t be burning off as many calories. Sleep deprived people eat more and thus consume more calories than required. So if you planning to lose weight and have 6 pack abs  then you must get enough sleep.
